MISA knows the retail motor industry better than any other union and focuses on supporting members in four basic areas.

Peace of mind in any labour-related matters

When you reach a bumpy stretch in your career, such as a retrenchment, dismissal, or unfair labour practice, the MISA Legal team of experts will be there to support you all the way. MISA is always just a phone call away. With MISA at your side, you have access to telephonic advice on legal matters, support at disciplinary hearings, grievance processes, Conciliation and Arbitration, Labour Court and beyond.

Financial peace of mind when you need it most

There are times when you and your family need financial support, and MISA provides both members and their loved ones with peace of mind when they need it most. The MISA BENEFIT FUND, to which all MISA members automatically belong, provides cover similar to “life insurance”, which pays out in the case of the death of the principal member. All MISA members automatically belong to the MISA FUNERAL FUND, which covers principal members, their spouses and children who are dependants.

Sound Advice and Support

As a MISA member you are entitled to FREE support on drawing up a Last Will and Testament or a Living Will, and with drawing up contracts for your domestic worker and the UIF registration of your domestic worker. MISA and its various business partners are also there to support you when you need to make important decisions regarding Retirement Planning.
