MISA Women’s Forum Western Province – Durbanville Parkrun

On Saturday, 02 December 2017 the MISA Women’s Forum Western Province team took part in a 5km Durbanville Parkrun at Meerendal Wine Estate to create awareness for the 16 Days of Activism Campaign running from 25 November to 10 December every year. MISA members and volunteers wore black t-shirt to attract attention to this very important issue globally.

They also treated the girls of St George’s House Safehaven to a Spur lunch. Each girl received a gift in the form of a pencil case made of recycled materials filled with goodies and a sweet pack.

Their next project will be a year-end dinner for Huis Jabes (home for victims of domestic violence) on Friday 15 December 2017.

They urge all dealerships/ workshops or individuals for assistance in their stationary collection drive for both children’s houses. Delivery planned early in the new year.
