MISA and the RMI have partnered for the purposes of a Motor Industry Disability Management Project. The project came about based on an identified need for effective and practical interventions for the management of disabilities within the workplace taking in to account legislative requirements, dignity and confidentiality of the affected people .
Due to the sensitivities surrounding disability management, it became clear that neither employer organisation in isolation, nor employee representatives on their own can provide effective solutions, it is for this reason that MISA and the RMI have partnered and sought the services of a reputable and skilled service provider, Progression, who through their vast expertise, range of services which they provide within the disability management space as well as professionalism are able to provide holistic services in this regard.
Phase I was rolled out in 2018. We are currently rolling out Phase II and III of the initiative. We have had sessions in Johannesburg, Mpumalanga, Pretoria. We will be rolling out in Western Cape from 08-10 April with sessions in KZN to follow.
The awareness sessions are highly informative and interactive.
