Severe thunderstorms and much cooler temperatures are expected in the northern part of the country.
You will feel the cold front sweeping in from tonight.
The South African Weather Service issued a warming for severe storms in Gauteng and large parts of Limpopo that may bring hail, damaging winds, heavy rain and excessive lightning.
MISA, the Motor Industry Staff Association, appeal to the public to remain cautious and vigilant when driving or travelling to and from work amid a storm.
Stormy conditions are expected to worsen overnight into Tuesday morning, with severe storms in Limpopo spreading during the afternoon to the Northern Cape, North West, the Free State and Gauteng. The heavy rain will increase the risk of flooding in low-lying areas.
Martlé Keyter, MISA's Chief Executive Officer: Operations, says the safety of workers and their families must remain the highest priority during severe weather.
"Many of our members travel long distances to and from work every day, often during adverse weather conditions. We urge everyone to place their safety first and not take unnecessary risks by attempting to cross flooded roads, bridges or rivers," says Keyter.
